The organic wines of the cooperative from Valladolid win the German jury and are awarded with a gold and two silvers in the Autumn edition.
La Seca, 18 October 2022.- The cooperative from Valladolid Bodega Cuatro Rayas won the Autumn edition of the ‘Organic Wine International’ with its more representative organic wines. ‘Cuatro Rayas Organic Verdejo’ succeeded with a gold and scored 90 points, placing it at the top of the organic Verdejos in this edition. Green & Social Verdejo y Cuatro Rayas Organic Tempranillo added a silver medal to their vast list of triumphs. The competition, one of the most prestigious international organic wine contests, again brings the quality of Bodega Cuatro Rayas’ organic range.
SUSTAINABILITY AND EXCELLENCE
Cuatro Rayas Organic Verdejo is a wine from winery-owned vineyards with organic production methods. Mechanically harvested at night, its fermentation is carried out in stainless steel vats with battonage over its lees for at least three months. Likewise, Cuatro Rayas Organic Tempranillo is produced with grapes from the winery’s organic vineyards. For about 10 or 12 days, its fermentation is carried out in stainless steel vats, with temperature control and daily rack and return. It also has a 3- month barrel ageing.
Green & Social represents, even with its packaging, the utmost respect for the environment featuring a plastic-free and 100% recyclable aluminium capsule and a closure made from sugar cane with zero carbon footprint. This white wine comes from organic farming and vegan winemaking.
