Cuatro Rayas’ Verdejo shines with thirteen wines scoring 90 points or more in the Guía Peñín

Pisuerga Verdejo achieved 95 points in the 2026 edition of Spain’s benchmark wine guide, securing a spot in the prestigious ‘Vinos de Podio’ section, subject to the official re-tasting

La Seca, Valladolid. 3 June 2025. – The wines of Bodega Cuatro Rayas —a wine cooperative within the DO Rueda that brings together vineyards of 300 members in the provinces of Valladolid and Segovia— have once again earned a prominent place among the scores of the prestigious Guia Peñín to Spanish wine in its 2026 edition, where no fewer than thirteen among the Cuatro Rayas’ brands have been awarded scores of 90 points or higher. In addition, five of these wines have received special recognition for their outstanding value for money, earning a 5-star rating.

Taking centre stage in this edition is Pisuerga Verdejo 2022, which has achieved a provisional score of 95 points—pending confirmation through the official re-tasting that will finalise its rating. Thanks to this score, this Verdejo from Bodega Cuatro Rayas—harvested by hand and aged for 18 months (12 months in a concrete egg-shaped vat and a further 6 months in stainless steel tanks)—has been selected for inclusion in the elite ‘Vinos de Podio’ category, which celebrates the finest Spain’s wines, as chosen by the Guía Peñín. The same recognition was awarded to ‘61’ Dorado en Rama nv in the last edition, a wine that is still awaiting its tasting for the 2026 guide.
