Vintage 2023 received at the summer edition of the prestigious contest the recognition ‘Best of Show Rueda’

September 9, 2024 Immersed in the 2024 harvest tasks, the cooperative from Valladolid Bodega Cuatro Rayas has proven again its wine quality at the summer edition of the prestigious international contest ‘Mundus Vini’, organised by the German group Meiniger Verlag, responsible for some of the most relevant publications in the wine industry internationally.
This time, the jury of ‘Mundus Vini’ highlighted the excellence of several Cuatro Rayas wines, awarding a total of seven medals—four golds and three silvers. Among these recognitions, Bascarlón Verdejo 2023 stood out by receiving not only a gold medal but also the special mention ‘Best of Show Rueda’, making it the best wine in Designation of Origin Rueda at the competition.
Bascarlón Verdejo keeps adding recognitions to its record. Thanks to this new gold and the prestigious mention of ‘Best of Show Rueda’, it becomes a major reference within the wines in this DO. This varietal, fermented at a controlled temperature of 15 °C in stainless steel vats, shows a beautiful straw yellow colour with greenish highlights. It has a fresh aroma on the nose, very characteristic of this variety; it is very tasty and lingering on the palate. This brand is perfect to pair with fish, shellfish, rice and pasta.
