The export team, led by Sergio Fiorentini, has managed to double its foreign sales in the last decade with a turnover exceeding 5 million euros.
La Seca, Valladolid. 10 May 2024 – The magazine ‘Castilla y León Económica’, a benchmark for Spanish specialised press, highlights the work carried out by Bodega Cuatro Rayas‘ Export Team. The Export Manager, Sergio Fiorentini, received the award ‘Best Export Manager / Internationalisation’ at the 11 th edition of the Best Manager Awards, held at the Auditorium I of Valladolid Congress Centre.
Since its establishment, the cooperative from Valladolid has kept a continued commitment to expand the scope of its brands, thus making them available in as many countries as possible. This philosophy has been strengthened since Bodega Cuatro Rayas appointed the Argentine-born winemaker Sergio Fiorentini as the new Export Manager.
Fiorentini is responsible for a team that knows there is no limit in export and quality Verdejo wine acceptance and demand is greater day after day. Currently, a wide variety of brands from the winery is available in up to forty countries in the international market. Due to this, in 2023, on top of managing to double the turnover of the last decade, the turnover increased by 14%, surpassing the €5M for the first time ever.
Since young, Fiorentini has felt wine tradition as his own, since he comes from the wine region of Mendoza, Argentina, and, even though he has an important profile and career in sales, his area of knowledge is wine, as attested by his diploma in OIV Master of Science in Wine Management by the University of Paris. After working in important wine industry companies, he chose Bodega Cuatro Rayas because, as he states, ‘Rueda and Verdejo combine history, tradition and modernity, which provides this project with the emotional value essential to keep on being “The Verdejo Wine From Rueda in the World”’.

Since its establishment in 1935, the protection of the fields and the well-being of the people living in rural areas have been a priority to Bodega Cuatro Rayas, a cooperative that is synonymous with Verdejo and quality, and not only the product but also life. Bodega Cuatro Rayas is the lifeblood for around 700 men and women in 30 villages within the provinces of Valladolid and Segovia, to which the winery is their main source of livelihood and benefit from the efforts supporting the creation of opportunities and the promotion of gender equality in rural environment.
