La Seca, 23 October 2025.- ‘61’ Dorado en Rama from Bodega Cuatro Rayas has been awarded the “Gran Gold” medal at the 2025 edition of the renowned “Sélections Mondiales des Vins Canada” —the largest wine competition in North America— a recognition that establishes it as the best DO Rueda wine in this year’s event. This unique fortified wine is produced in very limited quantities, showcasing the finest expression of the Verdejo and Palomino Fino varieties. It is the result of an ageing process that combines both biological and oxidative stages, which imparts it with its distinctive character.

In addition to this Grand Gold, Cuatro Rayas received eight Gold medals. These awards went to: Cuarenta Vendimias Verdejo Cuvée – Gran Vino de Rueda, Green & Social Verdejo, Cuatro Rayas Organic Verdejo, Cuarenta Vendimias Verdejo, Cuarenta Vendimias Rioja, Four Lines Verdejo, Nave Sur Verdejo, and Bascarlón Verdejo. These accolades not only highlight the outstanding quality of the Verdejo grape but also attest to the excellence of the cooperative’s diverse portfolio of wines.

‘Sélections Mondiales des Vins Canada’, held in Montreal, brought together more than 1,550 wines from 26 countries, along with experts from various fields, including oenologists, journalists, and wine industry professionals. This edition was particularly notable for the exceptional quality of the entries, adding even more significance to the recognition received by the cooperative winery.
