Bodega Cuatro Rayas focuses on generational renewal, sustainability, and innovation in its new Strategic Plan

The cooperative from DO Rueda holds its General Assembly, an event at which it also premiered a documentary video marking the 90th anniversary of its founding

La Seca, 29 June 2025.- Bodega Cuatro Rayas held its annual General Assembly this Sunday, during which the cooperative’s winegrowers approved the management and financial results for 2024, showing a 7% increase in turnover compared to the previous year. The event also saw the unveiling of the winery’s new Strategic Plan guiding lines, setting out the main objectives for the 2025–2027 period. This is the cooperative’s sixth Strategic Plan—the cooperative has long been a pioneer in adopting strategic planning as a medium- to long-term management tool—and serves as a roadmap to consolidate and strengthen Bodega Cuatro Rayas’ position in terms of economic and social growth.

The document offers an in-depth analysis of the winery’s current situation and sets out six key objectives to be achieved by 2027. These include a strong commitment to generational renewal within the cooperative, technological innovation, and digitalisation of processes, as well as the pursuit of both environmental and social sustainability. To achieve these strategic goals, the report outlines 28 measures involving all stakeholders in the winery’s business: from professionals in management, marketing, and communication, to the winegrowers themselves, and members of the Cuatro Rayas Envero Commission—made up of the sons and daughters of current cooperative members who will one day take over responsibility for the family vineyards. Among the Plan’s proposed actions are a programme for talent attraction and retention, training in modern technologies and digitalisation, and the optimisation of facilities and processes, particularly those linked to organic-certified wine production.

CUATRO RAYAS PRESENTS A DOCUMENTARY ON ITS 90TH ANNIVERSARY

Following the plenary meeting, a preview of the documentary produced by Bodega Cuatro Rayas to mark its 90th anniversary was premiered. The project features testimonies from senior cooperative members, retired employees, and current staff, providing a comprehensive look at the winery’s history, from its early days through to the present. The day concluded with a construction work tour of the cooperative’s new grape reception and winemaking facilities—a 3,000 m² plant designed to optimise its efficiency.
