The award recognizes Bodega Cuatro Rayas wine for “its work in research, identity, and the potential to enhance the prestige of Verdejo wines suitable for aging.”

La Seca (Valladolid), 6 February 2026.- Cuatro Rayas Longverdejo – Gran Vino de Rueda has been awarded the 2026 Revelation of the Year Award by La Vanguardia’s ‘La Guía de Vinos’, which also gave 93 points to the 2022 vintage, at an awards ceremony held on Monday, February 2, as part of Barcelona Wine Week 2026, one of the leading events in the international wine sector. The Spanish guide particularly praised the research work carried out on the Longverdejo project, which recovers ancestral native yeasts in underground cellars belonging to cooperative winegrowers who are members of Bodega Cuatro Rayas. The aim is to increase the longevity and aging capacity of the Verdejo variety in the Designation of Origin Rueda, breaking with the stereotypes traditionally associated with this grape.

La Seca, Valladolid. 3 February 2026.-The Winter edition of ‘Wine Enthusiast Magazine’ includes five wines from the Valladolid cooperative, a leading winery on the Spanish wine scene, among its reviews. The prestigious American publication has awarded 91 points and the “Best Buy” distinction to Cuatro Rayas Cuarenta Vendimias Ribera del Duero 2021, recognising the quality of this single-varietal Tempranillo. Also receiving a “Best Buy” rating, which refers to the magazine’s recommendation for purchase based on value for money, and 90 points are Bodega Cuatro Rayas‘ flagship wine, Cuatro Rayas Vendimia Nocturna Verdejo 2024, and its organic Verdejo, Cuatro Rayas Organic Verdejo 2024.

These scores are complemented by the 90 points obtained by two Verdejos from the cooperative’s Gran Vino de Rueda category, Cuatro Rayas Longverdejo 2023 GVR and Cuatro Rayas Cuarenta Vendimias Cuvée 2023 GVR. These two wines reinforce the winery’s leadership in the production of Verdejos with their own identity and, together with the other scores obtained, confirm the quality of the cooperative’s wines.

La Seca (Valladolid), 6 de febrero de 2026.- Cuatro Rayas Longverdejo – Gran Vino de Rueda ha sido distinguido con el Premio Revelación del Año 2026 por ‘La Guía de Vinos’ de La Vanguardia, que además ha otorgado 93 puntos a la añada 2022, en un acto de entrega celebrado el pasado lunes 2 de febrero en el marco de la Barcelona Wine Week 2026, una de las citas de referencia del sector vitivinícola internacional. La guía española ha valorado especialmente el trabajo de investigación desarrollado en torno al proyecto Longverdejo, en el cual se recuperan levaduras autóctonas ancestrales en bodegas subterráneas pertenecientes a socios viticultores cooperativistas de Bodega Cuatro Rayas con el objetivo de aumentar la longevidad y la capacidad de envejecimiento de la variedad verdejo en la Denominación de Origen Rueda, rompiendo con los estereotipos tradicionalmente asociados a esta uva.
