La Seca, 8 April 2021.- The cooperative Bodega Cuatro Rayas, located in La Seca (province of Valladolid), gathers a total of eight new recognitions for the outstanding quality of its wines after their submission to several international competitions: Harpers Wine Stars 2021 (UK)—belonging to the British publication specialised in the wine industry ‘Harpers Wine & Spirits’ and Sakura Japan Women’s Awards 2021 (Japan)—organised and judged by professional women of the Japanese wine industry—.

A shower of stars for the wines of Bodega Cuatro Rayas
Cuatro Rayas Viñedos Centenarios Verdejo 2019 is rated 5 out of 5 stars at the British Contest Harpers Wine Stars 2021, an award that recognises its exceptional nature regarding taste, value for money, and adequacy for its target market. Besides, this brand of the co-op winery located in La Seca gets the special prize Spain Star Taste, qualifying it as the best-valued Spanish wine in terms of taste among all the other contestants.
Along with these two outstanding awards for the century-old Verdejo of Cuatro Rayas, the co-op winery receives another Gold—in addition to a Silver and a Bronze—at the British contest, since Cuatro Rayas Cuarenta Vendimias Verdejo 2019 is rated 5 out of 5 stars, Cuarenta Vendimias Verdejo Cuvée 2019 reaches 4 stars, and Cuatro Rayas Roble Ribera del Duero Tempranillo 2018, 3 stars.

Double Gold, two Golds, and a Silver to Cuatro Rayas’ organic brands
The Japanese contest awards a Double Gold to the DO Rueda organic red wine Cuatro Rayas Organic Tempranillo 2019, a single-variety wine aged for three months in barrels, balanced, round, and with a long finish.
The Sakura Awards 2021 add three more medals to the resume of the winery’s organic wines by awarding a Gold to both varietal wines Cuatro Rayas Organic Verdejo 2020 and Nave Sur Organic Tempranillo 2019, and a Silver to Nave Sur Organic Verdejo 2020. All of them are made, respectively, with Verdejo and Tempranillo grapes from organic production vineyards cultivated by the co-op Cuatro Rayas members in the DO Rueda.
